Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Is AeroInnovate Live a trade show?
A. NO! AeroInnovate is NOT a trade show. It is a place where AeroInnovators - entrepreneurs, companies, labs, etc. - with innovations related to the aerospace sector that are ready to take off in - from propulsion to airframes, to software, to materials, and so on - can pitch their ideas to aeroinnovate enablers - which is to say investors and public and private development partners looking for aeroinnovations worthy of their resources.
Q. Can I be both an Innovator and an Enabler?
A. Yes! Many organizations might have both aeroinnovations in need of financing or partnering resources and also have financing and/or partnering resources of their own looking for additional aeroinnovations to enable.
Q. What is an Enabler?
A. An Enabler is any entity that provides capital or commercialization services to AeroInnovators. Enablers include venture capital and other investment firms; established aerospace firms; public entities (for example the military branches); and any other entities that provide financial or other commercialization assets, passively or as partners, to AeroInnovators.
Q. What is an Innovator?
A. An Innovator - or AeroInnovator - is any entity that has an aeroinnovation that it wants to commercialize and is seeking investors or partners - Enablers - to provide capital, technology, management or other resources to assist in the commercialization process.
Q. How are Innovators selected to present at AeroInnovate 2010?
A. If interested in presenting at AeroInnovate 2010, please contact Meridith Jaeger at jaegerm@uwosh.edu.
