The Business Success Center an organization supported through the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and its Center for Applied Research and Services, Inc., a Wisconsin non-stock corporation ("BSC") recognizes that its customers, visitors, users, and others who use www.aeroinnovate.org (the "AeroInnovate Site") (collectively or individually "Users") value their privacy. This Privacy Policy details important information regarding the use and disclosure of User information collected on the AeroInnovate Site. BSC provides this Privacy Policy to help you make an informed decision about whether to use or continue using the AeroInnovate Site.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and is subject to the BSC Terms and Conditions of Use (the "Terms"). Your use of the AeroInnovate Site and any personal information you provide on the AeroInnovate Site remains subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy and our Terms.

Please note that any video, image, or other content posted at the direction of Users onto the AeroInnovate Site including, without limitation, any User Submission (as that term is defined in the Terms) becomes published content and is not considered personally identifiable information subject to this Privacy Policy.

The Information BSC Collects

  • User-Supplied Information: When you use a resource, such as the Message Boards on the AeroInnovate Site, we may ask you for your name, e-mail address, and some other personal information. Except in circumstances where the information is essential for a particular resource, you always have a choice whether or not to disclose information to us. In other words, some information may be required, such as your e-mail address to post a message, but other requested information is optional and may be given at your discretion. This information is used for purposes such as personalization and verification only.
  • Server Log Information: When you visit an Internet Web site, you disclose certain information about yourself, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, the browser you are using, the time of your visit and the referring location (e.g., the Site or page that offered a link to the AeroInnovate Site). BSC, like many other sites, records this basic information about visits to its site. This information helps us identify which areas of our site are of interest to our visitors. We also collect the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of our visitors for the purposes of system administration and to report aggregate information to our sponsors, if any.
  • Cookies: In order to offer and provide a customized, personal resource, BSC may use cookies to store and help track your information. For example, we may use cookies to help remind us who you are and to deliver content and resources based on previously provided information. Cookies are simply pieces of information that are sent from your browser from a Web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. If you prefer, you can reset your browser either to notify you when you receive a cookie, or to refuse to accept cookies. You should understand that certain areas of many sites, including this one, may not function properly if you set your browser to not accept cookies or if you reject a cookie. We use "cookies" to let you use our resources more easily and to let us keep track of certain statistical information that helps us improve our site. Cookies allow us to save passwords and preferences for you (where applicable) so that you won't have to re-enter them next time you visit.
  • BSC Message Board: To the extent that BSC archives the BSC Message Board discussion posts, you should remember that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online, such as through e-mail or discussion groups, your information can be collected and used by others. BSC cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk. You are also solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of any passwords you set up and/or any account information.

The Way BSC Uses Information

  • If you submit personally identifiable information to us through the AeroInnovate Site, then we use your personal information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the AeroInnovate Site.
  • Any personal information or video, image or other content that you voluntarily disclose online (on discussion boards, in messages and chat areas, within your public profile page, etc.) becomes publicly available and can be collected and used by others. Any User Submissions that you submit to the AeroInnovate Site may be redistributed through the internet and other media channels, and may be viewed by the general public.
  • We will not provide your email address or other personally identifiable information to third parties for marketing purposes, but we at BSC may use the email address or other personally identifiable information that you provide to us to send certain commercial or marketing messages that we believe may be of interest to you, though we will provide you the opportunity to opt-out. Additionally, we may use your email address at any time for non-marketing or administrative purposes (such as notifying you of major AeroInnovate Site changes or for customer service purposes).
  • We use both your personally identifiable information and certain non-personally-identifiable information (such as anonymous User usage data, cookies, IP addresses, browser type, etc.) to improve the quality and design of the AeroInnovate Site and to create new features, promotions, functionality, and services by storing, tracking, and analyzing User preferences and trends.
  • We use cookies and log file information to: (a) remember information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the AeroInnovate Site; (b) provide custom, personalized content and information; (c) monitor the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns; and (d) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, pages viewed, etc.

When BSC Discloses Information

  • BSC reserves the right to disclose personally identifiable information an/or non-personally-identifiable information that BSC believes, in good faith, is appropriate or necessary to enforce our Terms, take precautions against liability, to investigate and defend itself against any third-party claims or allegations, to assist government enforcement agencies, to protect the security or integrity of our web site, and to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of BSC, our Users or others.
  • While it may seem obvious, we also share your personal information with various third parties when it is necessary to provide you with a product or service you have requested. By way of example and not limitation, if you request materials by mail, we may provide your information to third party carriers such as the US Postal Service, FedEx or UPS, and if you pay for goods or services at the AeroInnovate Site, we supply the necessary personally identifiable information to the relevant payment processor to permit them to process payments.

To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable steps (such as requesting a unique password) to verify your identity before granting you access to personal information for making corrections. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information at all times.

Please contact BSC with any questions or comments about this Privacy Policy.

We cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to BSC and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission of information, BSC makes commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the security of our systems. However, please note that this is not a guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.

If BSC learns of a security systems breach, then we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. BSC may post a notice on the AeroInnovate Site if a security breach occurs.

Your continued use of the AeroInnovate Site constitutes your agreement with this Privacy Policy and any future revisions.

For revisions to this Privacy Policy that may be materially less restrictive on our use or disclosure of the personal information you have already provided to us, we will attempt to obtain your consent before implementing such revisions with respect to such information.
